This guide shows you how to temporarily disable or permanently remove the integration between Ally and Leanheat Monitor. Disabling lets you pause integration without deleting it, while removing completely disconnects the systems.
Understanding the Difference
Disable Integration: Temporarily pauses the connection. Your integration settings remain saved. You can re-enable anytime by clicking "Enable" in the Ally App.
Remove Integration: Permanently deletes the connection. You'll need to create a new integration and generate a new pairing code if you want to reconnect later.
💡 Tip: If you're troubleshooting or need temporary control back in the Ally App, use Disable. If you're permanently switching away from Leanheat Monitor, use Remove.
Disable Ally Integration
Follow these steps to temporarily disable integration.
Step 1: Navigate to Data Integration in Ally App
You have two navigation paths (choose either):
Path A:
- Open Ally App
- Tap Me (bottom navigation)
- Tap Home Management
- Select the integrated Home
- Tap Data integration
Path B:
- Open Ally App
- Tap the current Home name (top of screen)
- Tap Home Management
- Select the integrated Home
- Tap Data integration
Step 2: Disable the Integration
- Tap Leanheat Monitor enabled
- Tap Disable
- You'll see the integration status change to Disabled
Step 3: Verify in Leanheat Monitor
- Open Leanheat Monitor
- Go to Admin → Ally™
- You'll see the integration status shows Disabled
What Happens When Disabled
- Leanheat Monitor loses control of devices
- You regain full control in the Ally App
- Current temperature setpoints remain unchanged
- Devices continue to operate with their last settings
- You can re-enable anytime without creating a new integration
Re-enabling Integration
To turn integration back on:
- Return to Data Integration in Ally App
- Tap Leanheat Monitor disabled
- Tap Enable
- Integration resumes immediately
Remove Ally Integration
Follow these steps to permanently remove integration.
⚠️ Warning: Removing integration is permanent. You'll need to create a new integration with a new pairing code if you want to reconnect. Your device data in Leanheat Monitor (alarms, classifications, area assignments) will not be automatically deleted but will no longer sync with Ally devices.
Step 1: Remove from Ally App
- Navigate to Data Integration in Ally App (see navigation paths above)
- Tap Leanheat Monitor enabled
- Tap Remove
- Confirm removal when prompted
- Integration disappears from your Data Integration list
Step 2: Remove from Leanheat Monitor
- Open Leanheat Monitor
- Go to Admin → Ally™
- You'll see the integration status shows Deleted
- Click the trash icon next to the integration
- Click Confirm
- Integration is now completely removed from Leanheat Monitor
What Happens When Removed
- All connection between systems is severed
- Ally App regains full device control
- Devices remain in Leanheat Monitor but show as offline/disconnected
- You can manually delete devices from Leanheat Monitor if desired
- Integration settings, alarms, and classifications are not automatically deleted
Clean Up After Removal (Optional)
If you've removed integration and want to clean up Leanheat Monitor:
Remove Devices
- Go to Device Administration
- Filter for Ally devices (use device tags or search)
- Select devices you want to remove
- Click the trash icon for each device
- Confirm deletion
Delete Alarm Rules
Any alarm rules created for Ally devices will remain. Delete them manually if no longer needed.
Delete Area Structures
If you created areas specifically for Ally devices, navigate to Areas and delete the structures if no longer needed.
Reconnecting After Removal
If you removed integration and want to reconnect:
- Follow the full integration setup process again
- Create a new integration in Leanheat Monitor (generates new pairing code)
- Enable the new integration in Ally App
- Import devices again
You'll need to reconfigure any device classifications, area assignments, and alarms.
