In this guide you will learn how to create and use virtual measurements.
Virtual measurements are measurements which are calculated based on selected values in the application. Currently there are 5 possible virtual measurement types:
- Delta (Difference between two sensors that are the same type [Temperature, Pressure, Level, ...])
- Hex Efficiency - Primary side (Efficiency of the heat exchanger calculated based on flow and return temperatures on the primary side)
- Hex Efficiency - Secondary side (Efficiency of the heat exchanger calculated based on flow and return temperatures on the secondary side)
- Secondary Flow (Water flow on the secondary side, calculated based on the valve's KVS and pressure delta)
- Secondary Energy (Energy on the secondary side, calculated based on the valve's KVS, pressure, and temperature deltas)
To create a virtual measurement navigate to a device in the "Devices" tab. Above the flow diagram click on "Options" and select "Virtual Measurements". In the upper left corner click "+ New Virtual Measurement". In the first step enter the measurement name and select the measurement type. In the second step select the sensors represented in the formula. To finish the virtual measurement click "Save". After completing these steps your virtual measurement can be seen in "Readings" and "Graphs".
To add the virtual measurement to the device flow diagram contact your local support.
