In this guide you will learn how to create a new consumption alarm in Leanheat Monitor.
This alarm type is designed to activate whenever the trigger value for your chosen sensor (energy or volume) is surpassed within the designated time period of a day.
To access alarms click on the "Alarms" tab. Here you can view active alarms, historical alarms and create new alarm rules.
To create a new "Consumption" alarm rule click on "Rules" in the upper left side of the screen, click "New" and select "Consumption".
Enter the alarm rule name, optional description and click "Next".
Now select the devices you want the rule to be active for. Here you can use filters to help with device selection.
In the next step choose the cumulative sensor on which the alarm will be based on and the trigger value. When the consumption (energy or volume) exceeds the set value in the given time period of day the alarm will be triggered. On the right side you can configure the period for the consumption alarm.
Enter alarm notification recipients. By ticking the "Resolution notification" check box. The recipient will also receive a notification when the alarm is resolved.
The last step is an overview of the alarm. To finish the alarm creation click on either "Save and enable" or "Save and disable".
